sessions

Intensive consultations are an integral part of the work for anyone wishing to explore a particular situation or problem they’re encountering in either their inner or outer worlds, or for anyone interested in or committed to a journey of deep exploration. Intensives are an appropriate entry-point to begin explore working with Sacred River.

Intensive sessions last an hour-and-a-half, and may be conducted either in person or online.

We use intensive sessions for:

Creative Soul-Craft. We attend to the dis-order and wounds of soul and spirit along the lines of teachings from Carl Jung and Archetypal Psychology. That our inner beings require closer attention and care, becomes especially clear when we experience physical or psychological dis-order, spiritual emergencies or concerns, or any kind of pressing ‘problem’ or crisis. Soul often manifests seemingly random, unrelated, external events like accidents, crises, physical illness and trouble with relationships, money or work to draw attention to deep inner urgencies. Intensives may also involve couples-sessions to attend to relationships.

Supplementing a comprehensive program of personal transformation. You may already be deeply involved through such other work as Immersions, Circles and Courses. Here, Intensives serve to discover precise, deep and informed guidance and focussed attention for where you are at in your inner work right now.

I Ching Inquiry. The I Ching is an ancient Chinese tradition of Psychology which can also be used for in-depth inquiry into some current pressing concern. It is particularly powerful to help us return to the flow of what Soul is requiring from us at this juncture on our path. The depth of its images and ideas are unparalleled and its wisdom permeates all the traditions mentioned on this website. Astrological Inquiry. When used imaginatively, astrology is a powerful tool that gives us a detailed, multi-dimensional picture of our character and our authentic path through life. By engaging our chart metaphorically rather than as ‘truth’, through a process of inquiry rather than it telling us ‘who we are’, ‘what we should do’, or ‘what will happen to us’, the astrological chart becomes our companion on a journey through ‘the landscapes’ of our life. Through this inquiry we come closer to identify and articulate the questions of our heart, here, now. And so we receive direction for our next steps, for more deeply engaging our world. Sacred River offers several types of astrological consultations.
